| FREE COUNSELING |
NMSU-A Alamogordo
SBDC provides free, one-on-one business counseling to established and prospective
small business owners. SBDC staff coaches small businesses in preparing
business plans, and with managerial, operational and financial issues.

| RESOURCE / REFERRAL |
The SBDC acts as
a
hub for the latest research information, state and federal business licensing
requirements, and processes. The SBDC staff can also refer clients to additional
business assistance providers such as the Service Corp. of Retired Executives
(S.C.O.R.E.), and others in the State Technology Assistance Resource System
(S.T.A.R.S.).

| WORKSHOPS / SEMINARS |
Workshops and training
activities are offered to the general public and are designed to prepare
present and prospective small business owners to become winners.

| SBDC NETWORKS |
There are 18 centers
located throughout New Mexico and at least 900 located at colleges throughout
the United States. Clients throughout the nation rely on the free business
counseling and other services provided by the staff of the SBDC's. The
Alamogordo Small Business Development Center networks with all the state
and nationwide SBDC's.
