Q. Where’s the
free money?
I
wish I had a penny for every time that question has come up. Simply
stated, there is no free money. The federal government offers several
financing programs, and various interesting non-traditional lenders are
located within the state. For more information, please fill out our
Request
for Counseling form.
Q. How soon
can I get a loan?
Most
lenders process loans as quickly as possible. Some have advertised
turn-around times of less than a week. However, that’s only after
all paperwork is in the format they require. Come in or call us for help
with your loan package. For more information, please fill out our Request
for Counseling form.
Q. Will I
have to put some money down on a loan? How much?
Lending
is pretty much the same – you need to have a down payment. You must
show the ability to pay back your loan, and you need something to give
to the lender in the event you fail to pay. If your Total Project
Cost is $100k, you will need to bring into the deal around $25k in cash
or cash equivalent. We can help you determine your actual cash need.

Q. What do
you think of my idea? Will it work?
We
can’t tell you what we think. We can help you make informed decisions
about your idea by guiding you through the business planning process.
It’s not ethically proper for us to offer our ideas about your project.
It’s also not fair. You are unique, and your approach to any situation
brings you into it. By combining your uniqueness with our perspectives
on your business plan, you are bound to make a good business decision.
