BRUCE W. KLINEKOLE, D.C.
White Mountain Chiropractic, Inc.
Dr. Bruce W. Klinekole is
the Alamogordo SBDC Success Client for 2003. He operates White Mountain
Chiropractic, Inc. in Ruidoso, New Mexico. White Mountain Chiropractic,
Inc. opened for business in 1996 and is currently located at 500 Mechem
Drive, Suite C, Ruidoso, New Mexico.
This
minority-owned business provides chiropractic health care and physical
therapy with rehabilitation for injuries and other conditions involving
the musculoskeletal system, including the spine. White Mountain Chiropractic,
Inc. offers physical examinations for students and athletes as well as
individuals requiring exams for employment or commercial drivers’ license
purposes. Dr. Klinekole also specializes in neurology, working with
disorders of the entire nervous system, thus allowing him to better understand
his patients’ conditions and provide accurate and specific treatments.
Dr. Klinekole’s first visit to the
Alamogordo Small Business Development Center was in 1996 after he completed
chiropractic education in Dallas. He initially approached the Center
for assistance with business planning and loan package preparation.
Bruce Klinekole, a Mescalero Apache tribal member, always planned to return
to the Lincoln County area following his education to serve his native
community. Dr. Klinekole opened his practice in Ruidoso in June of
1996.
Throughout the years, Dr. Klinekole,
operating as a sole proprietorship, has received assistance from the SBDC
in the areas of accounting and cash flow management. In 1999, he
invested his own money and relocated to a larger office with more patient
treatment area. Dr. Klinekole has recently hired a full-time secretary.

consistent and excellent service to the community and has developed his
business from a dream - to a plan - to the thriving operation it is today.
MONIQUE FOSTER
The Academy of Ballet
This successful SBDC client,
Monique Foster, operates the only dance studio/dance apparel shop in Alamogordo
and Otero County, thus providing a needed service to the community.
The Academy of Ballet opened for business in September 2001 and is located
at 1610 Indian Wells Road, Alamogordo, New Mexico.
This
woman-owned dance studio provides ballet, jazz and tap lessons to an average
of 100 students, sells retail dance apparel and serves the community at
large by producing and choreographing various live community theater productions.
The business is open Monday through Saturday and operates with the assistance
of volunteers.
Monique Foster’s first visit to the
Alamogordo Small Business Development Center was in April of 2001, when
she approached the Center for loan application assistance. The SBDC
counseled Ms. Foster in the areas of business start up and acquisition,
financial analysis, business planning and loan preparation, which led to
her approval for a SBA loan.
Monique Foster has received 90 hours
of counseling assistance from the SBDC in the areas of marketing, QuickBooks
accounting, record keeping and tax preparation. The Academy of Ballet
has consistently provided a great service to the community since opening
in 2001. Ms. Foster is grateful for all of the help she has received
from the Small Business Development Center and will continue to utilize
the Center’s services in the future.
